The raffle prizes will be awarded at a drawing during the Closing Day Celebration @ 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Hidden Rock Park. Raffle Tickets can still be purchased up to the day of the drawing. However, to qualify for the top seller, you must turn in to your Team Mom by May 26. You do not need to be present to Win!!

Closing Day Ceremony 2012
Who: Gyaa Baseball & Softball Families
What: Closing Day Ceremonies Revised Schedule
When: Saturday June 2nd 2012 4:00pm-8:00pm
Where: HRP (Luck Field)
Info: This will be the first Gyaa Closing Ceremony Event. The purpose of this event is to provide a collaborative team party atmosphere where teams can handout trophies if they choose and celebrate the end of our regular season. This event is meant to be a FUN Celebration!!
Food: Hotdogs, Ice Pops and Drinks will be provided FREE for all players and for sale for a small fee for family members. Teams are asked to coordinate sides, desserts and other picnic items for their team if desired. We will have an area set up around the DJ for teams to set-up Canopy Tents/Tables. Have fun and decorate!! How about a Hawaiian Luau Theme? Team moms will be handing out tickets to each player to get his/her food.
Activities:
Ø Hourly 50/50 Raffles
Ø Raffle Drawing & Top Seller Awards
Ø Games: Corn Hole, Basketball, Volleyball, Parent vs Coaches Games.
Ø Entertainment: DJ Dave (Dancing, Limbo, Etc.)
Ø Tees To Go (Selling Gyaa All Star Shirts)
Ø Gyaa Volunteer Table for information on how you can volunteer on the board, suggestion box etc.

5:00 1st 50/50 Drawing
5:15 Parent vs Coach Game #2 45 min @ Luckfield
6:00 2nd 50/50 Drawing, food served, individual trophy presentations by teams (determined by coaches).
7:00 3rd 50/50 Drawing, DJ Activities, Ice Pops
8:00 Final 50/50 Drawing, Clean-Up and Well Wishes J

Boys Baseball News
Registrations now open for Boys Baseball, Ages 13-19. Please go to Baseball page for more info and download form on Baseball/Registration Link.
Early registration discount applies to all registrations postmarked or recieved on or before April 14, 2012.
Registration deadline has been extended to May 6, 2012.
Any registration received after April 30th will not be guarenteed a spot on a team and a $20 late registration fee may apply.
No online registration. Please make payment by cash or check.

* Field Closure and Weather Updates - We will try to update this site daily along with the facebook group. The weather hotline will be updated by 3:30 PM daily. We update as soon as Parks and Recreation makes the call to us. Call 556-9000 after 3:30 PM for Field Closure Updates.

Field 1, also known as Luck Field - Hidden Rock Park, Baseball Field at Parking Lot Level
Field 2, also known as Upper Baseball Field - Hidden Rock Park behind and above Luck Field
Field 3 - Hidden Rock Park, down the hill on the right side
Field 4 - Hidden Rock Park, down the hill on the left side
Napa Field, also known as Taylor's Field - Right off 522 between Old Highschool Football Field and Taylor's gas station
Old High School Field - Adjacent to Old High School Football Field off 522. (Football field is the outfield!)
If you don't all ready know, and you are on Facebook, you can join the Goochland Youth Athletic Association group to help keep up to date on information regarding GYAA.
FYI - Dixie Youth awards scholarships to Dixie participants. All Seniors are eligible to apply. The only requirement to apply is for you to have participated in Dixie Ball just one year. Scholarship applications are available on their website. At a most recent meeting, I was informed that Virginia generally has a low number of applicants. Come on Goochland Youth, lets' get some of that scholarship money!! Click on link below to access the application via the Dixie websites.
